Hi, I'm Amy!
I am a marketing consultant, small business coach, and lecturer with over 20 years of marketing experience.
After graduating in 1991 with my MBA in marketing, I began a successful sales career in the pharmaceutical, bio-medical, and hospital laboratory industries where I brought many new products to market and won several awards in market share growth. In 2007 I transitioned over to teaching and, since 2014, have been a lecturer at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
As a lecturer, I was so inspired by my love of small businesses that I began including client collaborations in all of my curriculum. Whether it’s my consumer behavior or an advertising course, I pair local entrepreneurs with student teams where they create, develop, and implement problem-solving marketing strategies or customized promotional campaigns. These hands-on learning opportunities result in benefits for both: enhanced skill sets for my students and brand growth for our clients. In fact, this co-created value is what prompted me to begin my own consulting firm: Amy Angell Marketing.
On a personal note, I've been married for 28 years and have four kids. I love to read, cook, travel, and spend time with family and friends. Many of my values come from my Catholic faith and my Kentucky roots.
So, whether you're looking for solutions to boost your brand, professionally or personally, my door is always open! In the meantime, check out my blog and podcast.
